Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with twelve different ink swatching tools, each producing its own distinctive effects and revealing different characteristics of fountain pen inks. Learn how various swatching methods can highlight shading, sheen, saturation, color variation, and other ink properties while creating visually appealing reference cards.
These techniques are perfect for documenting your ink collection, enhancing journals and planners, comparing inks, or identifying the characteristics that make certain inks pair well with specific fountain pens and nibs.
Whether you’re new to ink swatching or looking to expand your creative toolbox, you’ll leave with practical techniques and plenty of inspiration for future projects.

About the Instructor:
Gailyn is an avid fountain pen and ink enthusiast, content creator, and small business owner whose passion lies in exploring both the technical and creative sides of the hobby. She is particularly fascinated by the complex properties of modern fountain pen inks and enjoys ink swatching, dip pens, calligraphy, vintage and modern flex nibs, custom-ground nibs, and celluloid fountain pens.
